EmpoderaClima, launched in 2019, is a multilingual initiative created to raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts of climate change that girls and women face in the Global South, as well as the need for women's leadership in climate action. With content in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, EmpoderaClima's database serves as a resource about gender and climate for those who usually don't have access to materials about climate justice in their native languages. EmpoderaClima is also a leader in global advocacy for gender-just climate action, both through partnerships with movements all over the globe, high-level events, and projects on climate education.
